The survey results regarding why divorced individuals end their relationships while dating are intriguing.
What communication issues do divorce individuals believe can make it difficult for a relationship to progress further during dating?
Divorced singles were asked, “What communication issues during dating make it difficult for a relationship to progress further?” Only-You, a match-making agency specializing in remarriages, in collaboration with the match-making service Bien-Aller, conducted this survey of 516 divorced men and women (258 each) across the country from the 4th to the 9th of the month.
The results showed that 31.8% of men answered, “When they frequently forward random messages,” while 33.3% of women, roughly one out of three, replied, “When they contact me incessantly,” which had the highest proportion.
For men, the following issues were revealed in the next order: “Long phone calls (25.5%),” “Contacting me incessantly (19.0%),” and “Intermittent communication (16.3%).” On the other hand, women reported issues in the following order: “Frequently forwarding messages (26.4%),” “Intermittent communication (17.1%),” and “Late-night calls (15.1%).”
“Men who have lived a relatively longer social life would rather receive a carefully written letter from their partner, containing their own thoughts, rather than receiving a post on the Internet,” said Son Dong Kyu, CEO of ONLY-U. “Women value their own lives and feel embarrassed and uncomfortable if they are contacted unexpectedly at any time, especially by phone.”
Additionally, the survey results regarding reasons for discontinuing remarriage relationships are noteworthy.
For men, 32.2% pointed to “demanding luxury gifts” as the top reason, followed by “taking advantage (25.2%)” and “one-sided conversations (21.3%).” “Unimpressive behavior (14.7%)” followed behind.
For women, the highest proportion (31.0%) cited “one-sided conversations,” followed by “hasty attempts at physical intimacy (28.7%),” “unimpressive behavior (24.0%),” and “taking advantage (12.0%).”
