Ford has unveiled the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally, an electric vehicle with new performance and agility.
Donna Dickson, the chief engineer of the Mustang Mach-E, said, “Just a year ago, this vehicle was just a simple idea, but the passion and creativity of the Model-E team made it a reality. We have always been exploring new areas of electric vehicle performance, and we are excited to unveil the Mustang Mach-E Rally, which combines tuned suspension, high-performance dual-motor electric powertrain, and unique style for customers who seek different adventures.”
The Mustang Mach-E Rally has a more powerful powertrain than the existing Mustang Mach-E, producing a minimum of 650 lb.-ft of torque and 480 horsepower. It also features a suspension 20mm higher than the previous model, specially made springs, Magnaride shock absorbers, and 385mm Brembo® brake rotors, making the vehicle even more special. It is also equipped with a 91kWh lithium-ion battery, providing an estimated range of about 250 miles. With a DC fast charger, it is expected to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 36 minutes and 30 seconds.
Inspired by the long history of Ford rally cars, the Mustang Mach-E Rally is equipped with durable rally-style alloy wheels and various features designed for off-road driving, ensuring stable performance even in challenging road conditions. It also incorporates multiple design details, including a rear spoiler inspired by the Ford Focus®.
