Flight attendants found the lifeless body of a woman in her 70s on a flight from London, UK, to Nice, France.
On the 21st (local time), a female passenger, Ms. A, aged 70, experienced a cardiac arrest on British Airways flight BA348. The flight had departed from London Heathrow Airport and landed at Nice Airport in France.
According to reports from UK media outlets such as Daily Mail and The Mirror, fellow passengers, including those seated next to the woman, thought Ms. A was asleep throughout the flight. However, when she did not move to retrieve her luggage upon arrival, they alerted the cabin crew.
It turned out that the woman had already died of a heart attack. A fact that neither the crew nor the passengers were aware of during the flight.
Emergency medical personnel attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately after landing, but the woman did not regain consciousness. She was declared dead around 10 p.m., approximately one hour after landing in France.
The airline speculated that the woman had a history of heart disease. She suffered a heart attack during the flight, leading to her death. Apart from her age, 73, authorities have not confirmed any other details about her identity, including nationality or name.
