According to SBS and Busan Nam Police Station, on the 13th, a 70-year-old man, Mr. A, died at an auto repair shop in Gamman-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, on the afternoon of the 6th.

At that time, it was reported that Mr. A had an accident while waiting for his tire to be repaired at the shop.

The police speculated that a truck tire, which was being inflated, collided with Mr. A due to the internal pressure of the expanding tire.

Furthermore, it is suspected that fragments of the exploded tire did not hit Mr. A but by the strong air pressure impacting his abdomen.

Mr. A passed away in the ambulance due to a ruptured aorta.

According to an SBS report, Mr. A’s family lamented, “The shop owner says ‘tires burst all the time.’ He said that my father had an unfortunate accident. But it’s frustrating that he didn’t take any special measures.”

The police and other investigative authorities plan to thoroughly investigate the exact cause of the accident, the degree of wear and tear on the tire, and whether the shop took safety precautions.
