“Kiss Hitler’s Picture Everyday” Kanye West Accused of Telling Jewish Employee.

TV Report Views

[TV Report=Lee Ye-eun] Kanye West, a famous American rapper and ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, is in hot water over anti-Semitic remarks.

The New York Times reported on the 27th (local time) that West’s anti-Semitic outbursts have ended partnerships with several brands, including global sports brand Adidas.

At his first meeting with Adidas in 2013, West drew the ‘swastika’, a symbol of the Nazis. The fact that the meeting took place just a few miles away from Nuremberg, Germany, where the Nazi Party Congress was held, shocked the public.

But this was just the beginning.

An insider at Adidas revealed to the New York Times that Kanye West told a Jewish manager to “kiss Hitler’s picture every day.” West also allegedly told Adidas employees that he “admires Hitler’s marketing tactics.”

West even fully endorsed the ‘Holocaust’ system, which refers to the mass murder of Jews by the Nazis. In 2018, he faced criticism for repeatedly praising the architect of the Holocaust to the then CEO of Yeezy, and paid a settlement of $70,000 (approx. 95.06 million KRW).

That same year, West attempted to name his album *Hitler*, but due to severe backlash, he changed it to *Ye*, named after himself.

Adidas ended its partnership with Kanye West in October 2022. In an official statement, Adidas said, “We cannot tolerate hate speech and insulting behavior. This is why we ended the partnership.”

Other brands, including Gap, Balenciaga, and Vogue, also terminated their contracts with Kanye West.
