North Korea has claimed that the military cooperation between South Korea, the United States, and Japan has reached a “very dangerous stage,” stating that it is “bringing about a storm of confrontation and war on the Korean Peninsula and the region.”

The Workers’ Party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, stated on the 5th, “Who can guarantee that the reckless behavior of the United States and its followers, who are frantically driving the tripartite military alliance, will not lead to the outbreak of nuclear war and the expansion of World War III?”

The newspaper referred to the military cooperation between South Korea, the U.S., and Japan as a “typical military block that fully serves the realization of U.S. hegemony,” stating that “the main culprits bringing about the storm of war and threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula and the region are the United States, Japan, and their puppets.”

The newspaper added, “In order to protect our country’s sovereignty and the peace of the people from the aggressive war schemes of the United States and its followers, we have prepared the strongest national defense force centered on nuclear power.”

It also stated, “Our country’s defensive military activities are the most reliable guarantee to thoroughly deter the enemies’ war provocations and protect the peace and safety of the region.”
