A Vietnamese carpenter is attracting attention by recreating Tesla’s Cybertruck and Cyberquad out of wood, inspired by his son’s dream of becoming the next Elon Musk.
The YouTube channel ‘ND-Woodworking Art,’ run by Vietnamese woodworker Truong Van Dao, recently released a 20-minute video showing the creation of a wooden Cybertruck model over 100 days.
Dao and his colleagues completed the vehicle by assembling custom-designed and cut wooden pieces onto a metal frame. The model car, a spitting image of the Cybertruck except for its color, with its angular body, wheel rims, and side mirrors, took only 100 days from design to completion.
Not only does it perfectly replicate the appearance, but it’s also capable of actual driving on the road. It even mimics the unique lighting of the Cybertruck. On the side of the vehicle, they also drew the logo of X, the social networking service led by Elon Musk.
Along with this, they also created a Cyberquad. It is an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), also known as a four-wheel motorcycle, which Tesla introduced as an option for the Cybertruck. In 2021, a smaller version for children was introduced, gaining popularity.
Dao stated, “I have unwavering faith in Tesla’s vision and capabilities. I am confident that this amazing vehicle (Cybertruck) will ultimately succeed,” and added, “I would like to gift this wooden Cybertruck to Elon Musk.”
