‘South Korea Fully Prepared for Any North Korean Provocation’ Says Unification Minister

In a recent meeting with Jim Rogers, Chairman of Rogers Holdings and Beeland Interests, Inc., Minister of Unification Kim Yung Ho disclosed that the government is actively preparing for any potential provocations from North Korea. Minister Kim emphasized the government’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of foreign investors and reducing their concerns through substantial efforts.

He made this statement during a meeting with Jim Rogers at the Seoul Government Complex on the 11th. Minister Kim explained the recent political situation: “North Korea is increasing tensions by completely abandoning the 9.19 Inter-Korean Military Agreement. I understand that foreign investors are quite worried about this situation.”

Jim Rogers expressed optimism about the Korean peninsula’s future, noting that although Korea has concerns about unification, he believes Koreans can independently resolve their issues once they open the border and remove the demilitarized zone (DMZ). Further lightening the mood, he happily remarked that if the border opens, he plans to quickly arrange beer and invite the popular music group BLACKPINK to host a grand celebration.

Rogers, known as a famous foreign investor, has shown great interest in the issues of the Korean peninsula by consistently expressing an optimistic view of South-North unification and naming North Korea as the best investment destination.
