Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Visits North Korea

A delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Vice Minister Sun Weidong, visited North Korea.

The Rodong Sinmun reported on the 26th, “A delegation led by Comrade Sun Weidong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, arrived in Pyongyang on the 25th via Sinuiju.”

The newspaper reported, “Workers from the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese consul stationed in North Korea welcomed the delegation at the border crossing.”

Vice Minister Sun had a diplomatic meeting with Pak Myong-ho, Deputy Minister of the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his visit to Beijing last December.
