North Korea heavily reported that Kim Jong Un gave gifts to the children and student youth who participated in the New Year’s celebration performance, praising Kim’s “love for the people.”
The Rodong Newspaper reported on the 30th, “On the morning of the 22nd, the parents of the children and student youth who participated in the New Year’s celebration performance received an urgent message to come to the People’s Cultural Palace with their children and received a gift list with the mark of Kim Jong Un’s Labor Party.”
The newspaper highlighted Kim’s love for the people: “It was an honor beyond measure just to participate in the New Year’s celebration performance held in 2024 with Kim in attendance. The children, student youth, their parents, and teachers were grateful for the gifts of love.”
The newspaper continued to introduce the living quarters of the children and parents who received the gifts as well as the atmosphere at the school of the student who received the gift, saying, “How blessed are the children who participated in the national performance and received the precious gifts sent by our fatherly leader (Kim Jong Un).”
The newspaper promoted the spirit of “love for the people” through the lengthy article on gift distribution, saying, “Indeed, in this land, every day dawns and ends with stories of the love and grace that our beloved Secretary Kim’s comrade bestows on our children and people.”
Residents in North Korea’s provinces are still facing food shortages in the new year.
