North Korea’s Fury Over South’s Military Training: What’s Behind the Outcry?

In response to North Korea’s threat of nuclear and missile attacks and the public statement of “occupying South Korea,” our military has been conducting various trainings and strengthening its readiness. Meanwhile, North Korea has detailed the exercise conducted in the South in January.

This is seen as a demonstration of the North’s access to South Korean information and feeling burdened by South Korea’s measures to strengthen its deterrent power.

The North Korean state-run media, the Korean Central News Agency, mentioned various pieces of training conducted in the South in a commentary titled “The pitiful fate of the puppet South Korea that is going up and down on the cutting board,” saying, “The military gangsters of the puppet South Korea are increasingly crossing the line with their warlike antics.”

The claim is that since the beginning of the year, “the number of anti-republic war practices conducted solely by the puppet military villains,” in addition to the joint maritime and air training in which the U.S. strategic assets such as nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Carl Vinson and strategic bomber B-1B, and Japanese Aegis destroyers and fighters participated, “are too many to count.”

The agency reported, “Following the footsteps of the bastard Yoon Seok-yeol, the leaders of the puppet military are competitively going to the front-line units, reciting harsh words such as ‘immediate, strong, end (retaliate immediately, strongly, and to the end)’ and ‘resolute retaliation’ like a mantra, and intensifying the extreme madness of confrontation. During the first week of January alone, warlike maniacs conducted concentrated fire drills for the New Year’s, artillery and mechanized unit movement drills, and naval gunfire and tactical movement drills near our republic’s southern borderline.”

It added, “From the 15th to the 19th, the gangsters of the puppet military’s 32nd Infantry Division mobilized thousands of troops and over 160 pieces of murder equipment to go wild with missile attack drills on the west coast and surprise landing drills in coastal areas.”

The agency reported, “The gang of the puppet military’s 55th Division entered the provocative ‘severe cold training’ from the 22nd, and the puppet military’s 7th Engineer Brigade and the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division conducted winter river crossing training, and the puppet Marine Corps 1st Division bastards conducted what they call comprehensive penetration training day after day.”

In addition, it said, “The villains of the puppet military’s 17th Division, who conducted ‘combat shooting training’ to ‘suppress’ our (North Korea’s) front-line units and ‘break into’ the rear areas, even fired high-explosive bombs that are only used in wartime on the 31st, boasting about ‘improving retaliation capabilities.'”

In particular, “When it was revealed that three U.S. aircraft carriers were deployed near the Korean Peninsula, the puppet defense minister bastard dared to spout the worst nonsense such as ‘end of regime’ and ‘enemy leadership removal.'” It emphasized, “In the relationship between two enemy countries in a state of war, such foul language is a blatant war propaganda and will serve as a fuse for physical conflict, which is obvious even to a three-year-old.”

Experts have assessed that North Korea’s top officials, including Chairman Kim Jong-un, directly mentioning the ‘end of the North Korean regime in case of nuclear use’ publicly stated by South Korea and the U.S. is a “result of feeling pressured.”

The nervous reaction to the ‘immediate, strong, end principle’ emphasized by the South’s military authorities, including Minister Shin, can be interpreted similarly.

The agency said, “We have already warned that the so-called ‘immediate, strong, end’ principle touted by the puppet warmongers could result in ‘instant death, forced death, the end,'” and added, “The various scale war exercises that are being conducted in parallel with the unspeakable slander against our dignified country and the ‘record-breaking’ ‘highest ever’ records are fraught with the risk of completely ruining the pitiful fate of the already precarious puppet South Korea. It would be wise to keep this in mind.”

This is a reconfirmation of the speech released by Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Director of the Workers’ Party, who oversees North Korea’s foreign policy, on the 7th of last month.

Meanwhile, our military said in response to North Korea’s criticism, mentioning Minister Shin by name, “We have no additional position to offer.”
