North Korean Delegation Rushes to Russia for Expanding All-Round Cooperation

North Korean newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on the 20th that “an international delegation led by Minister of Information Industry Ju Yong Il left Pyongyang on the 19th to participate in the Eurasian Information Technology Union (Forum) held in Moscow, Russia.”

“They were seen off at Pyongyang International Airport by Deputy Minister of Information Industry Jang Young Gil and Russian Ambassador to North Korea Alexander Matsegora,” the report said.

“Also, on the same day, the Fisheries Committee delegation, led by Deputy Minister Son Song Guk, and the Sports Ministry delegation, led by Deputy Minister Oh Kwang Hyuk, left Pyongyang by plane to participate in the 31st Joint Committee on Fisheries Cooperation between North Korea and Russia, and the signing ceremony of the 2024 North Korea-Russia Sports Exchange Protocol,” it added.

Before this, the Russian Embassy in North Korea also reported on its website on the 19th that “Minister of Information Industry Ju Yong Il and Deputy Minister of Sports Oh Kwang Hyuk, among others, left Pyongyang to attend international events in Russia.”

Meanwhile, the Rodong Sinmun also reported, “A delegation representing the Workers’ Party of Korea, led by Kim Su Gil, Pyongyang City Committee Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, participated in the first meeting of the forum For the Freedom of Nations, organized by the All-Russian Party Unified Russia, against the modern act of democracy in Russia, and returned home on the 19th.”

“It was greeted at Pyongyang International Airport by Han Man Hyuk, Deputy Director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and Consul General Vladimir Topeha of the North Korean Embassy in Russia,” they added.
