North Korean Youth Delegation Engages in Exchanges at World Youth Festival in Sochi

North Korea is actively promoting exchanges with Russia.
The Korean Youth Delegation, led by Moon Chol, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, left Pyongyang on the 26th to participate in the World Youth Festival being held in Sochi, Russia, according to the Rodong Sinmun.
They were seen off at Pyongyang International Airport by Pak Eun Chul, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, and Alexander Matsegora, the Russian ambassador to North Korea.
During this visit, North Korea and Russia plan to discuss expanding exchanges between youth organizations in both countries.
The World Youth Festival will be held from March 1 to 7 in the Sirius area near Sochi, Russia.

According to the Russian embassy in North Korea, the 4.25 Sports Club’s women’s volleyball youth team left Pyongyang for Vladivostok on the 26th at the invitation of Oleg Kozhemyako, the governor of Primorsky Krai.
The players plan to hold a friendly match and joint training camp with the Russian team.
An agricultural technology delegation led by Kim Kwang Wook, head of the Agricultural Science Institute, who had visited Russia, returned home by air on the 26th.
The Rodong Sinmun also added, “The Korean Trade Union Delegation, led by Chairman Pak In Chol of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, left on the 26th to participate in the regular meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Trade Unions in Sao Paulo, Brazil.”
