Kia is getting closer to releasing its pickup truck, the Tasman. Test cars in camouflage have been spotted multiple times, and with the demand for pickup trucks increasing domestically, there are high expectations for the Tasman.
As anticipation grows for how Kia will present the Tasman, renderings based on the previously spotted test cars have been released. The renderings, created by the YouTube channel KKSSTUDIO, captivate with their bold design.
Grille with a vertical pattern
The logo matches the grille pattern
A massive grille dominates the front. The daring design of the grille, which fills the front, has a vertical pattern. The KIA logo is impressively placed in the middle to match the wide pattern spacing. The size of the headlamps has shrunk as the grille size has increased.
The split vertical headlamps are placed right next to the grille. While most other renderings reflect Kia’s signature design with a long horizontal DRL, this rendering designed the DRL to match the square lamps. The previously spotted test car also revealed part of the headlamps in a square shape, which were placed at a nearly identical size.
Thick square cladding
Cladding in the same color as the body
The side character lines divide the hood part, are disconnected front and back, then reconnect, and are split into two lines applied to the side of the front door. As seen in the test car, the fender part has thick square cladding applied. This rendering did not apply black cladding but applied cladding in the same color as the body, enhancing its naturalness.
The cladding is placed only on the top, not extending to the bottom, and the angular fender line is the same as the test car. There is no detailed information on whether the Tasman will be a midsize or full-size pickup truck, but in this rendering, a body length close to full-size was applied in the design.
Traditional pickup truck rear
Masculine design
The rear view has not been created, but the test car and other renderings have elements of a pickup truck, such as a vertical tail lamp and a step on the bumper corner. The shape of a traditional pickup truck with Kia’s modern design elements raises expectations among consumers waiting for its release.
