BMW’s Next Generation EV, iX3
Based on the Neue Klasse platform
Launching a new kind of SUV
A recently leaked photo circulating online is shaking the hearts of car enthusiasts, especially BMW lovers. The leaked photo showed a vehicle that had previously been the subject of attention.
The vehicle is believed to be the front part of the new iX3, which is scheduled to be produced based on BMW’s next-generation platform, Neue Klasse. BMW announced that it may be unveiled through its conference scheduled for March 2024.
It’s capable of driving 500 miles (800KM), collecting new technologies
BMW’s electrification dates back to 2020. BMW, which entered the electrification business in earnest with the launch of the electric SUV iX and electric sedan i4, was able to make a soft landing without much difficulty based on its outstanding technology. The biggest difference from the existing iX3 is that, unlike the initial iX3 model made using an existing vehicle, it will be produced on a completely new platform.
In addition, the upcoming iX3 will be upgraded with a newly developed 6th-generation battery. It boasts a driving range of 500 miles (800 km), with efficiency further increased by increasing the charging speed and reducing the weight of the battery itself.
Production from China to Germany, various options to be unveiled
The current iX3 is produced in China, but the newly unveiled iX3 is said to be produced in various factories in Germany and other BMW factories worldwide. The cause is unknown, whether it is to prevent the quality or finish of Chinese products from declining, but it seems that we can expect a vehicle with a higher level of completion than before.
Although it is a vehicle produced on an electric platform, high-performance models are also scheduled to be launched. The interior is also expected to change significantly, and there are rumors that seats with a massage function and an M performance kit may also be installed.
Expectations for a futuristic interior, scheduled for launch in 2025
It appears that it will break away from the instrument panel frame of existing cars and provide a panoramic vision display on the windshield, transmitting augmented reality graphics. It is also expected to be equipped with a newly designed square-shaped steering wheel.
Although no detailed interior or performance information has been released yet, there is no doubt that BMW will produce a completely new type of car. BMW’s new iX3, which pursues future orientation while realizing carbon reduction and high performance, is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
