The test car of Hyundai Palisade’s full-change model has been spotted several times, raising father expectations. In 2023, it recorded a sales volume of 41,093 units, making it a popular model in the domestic large SUV market.
It is also a popular choice for fathers’ family cars, and the release of its full-change model is expected to bring many design changes, further raising expectations. Recently, realistic projection images based on the appearance of the Palisade full-change test car have been released and are becoming a hot topic.
Seamless Horizon DRL
Angular Headlamp Design
The images created by the digital artist Kelsonik show that the front is equipped with Seamless Horizon Daytime Running Lights that follow the bonnet parting line. The headlamps have an angular design like Santa Fe, and a large grill that fills the front is positioned between the headlamps.
These prediction images seem to have heavily applied design elements from the Grandeur to the front. However, the captured Palisade test car looks more boxy and bold. The front of the prediction image’s design is somewhat sleek, and the softness of the curve is intense, which seems to be a bit different from the actual one.
No Big Changes on the Side
Divided Tail Lamps Applied
The sides have auto-flush door handles, creating a sleek body line. The side character line stretches from the front daytime running light to the rear tail lamp. Apart from the change in the wheel, there seem to be no other significant changes.
The rear has divided tail lamps, similar to the front’s design, creating a sense of unity. The horizontal tail lamp is positioned at the top, extending long to the side panel. Below that, angular tail lamps are applied. The tail lamps have a parametric pixel pattern, commonly seen in the Ioniq series and increasingly used in other latest Hyundai models.
Adding a Hybrid?
Production Starting in January Next Year
The new Palisade’s powertrain is expected to include the newly developed 2.5-liter gasoline turbo hybrid from Hyundai, along with the existing 2.5-liter gasoline turbo engine. The existing 3.8-liter gasoline engine will be downsized to a 3.5-liter gasoline turbo. The new Palisade is scheduled to be unveiled in the second half of this year and will enter production as early as the beginning of next year.
