Bentley’s limited-edition Opulence Edition models
Exclusive for the Indian market
Bentley, one of the world’s three most prestigious car brands, allows buyers to customize their vehicles through their Mulliner program, similar to Rolls Royce’s Bespoke program. This program lets customers choose their desired color, trim, seats, and floor mats. There are over a billion possible combinations to choose from in the Mulliner program. But that’s not all.
Through the Mulliner Coachbuilt, Bentley offers complete customization of the vehicle’s body and interior, allowing for the creation of a one-of-a-kind vehicle. However, even in Bentley’s Mulliner program, there’s a model that money can’t buy – the recently released Opulence Edition, exclusively in India. Only five limited-edition vehicles have been produced, and all three variants have been sold out.
What are these three Opulence Edition models?
Bentley has introduced three limited-edition models to the Indian market: the Continental GT Speed coupe, the Flying Spur Speed sedan, and the Bentayga EWB Azure SUV. Only one Continental GT and Flying Spur were available, while three Bentayga models were sold.
The Opulence Edition is a special order from Bentley’s Indian dealer. Therefore, these vehicles are unavailable in other countries and only sold to consumers in the Indian market. This is why they are often called the “Bentley you can’t buy, no matter how much money you have.” Unsurprisingly, the main consumer base for these vehicles is the wealthy class in India.
Utilizing the orange and green colors found in the Indian flag
The Bentley Opulence Edition models all feature a scarab green exterior. The interior combines Mandarin Orange and Cambrian Green colors. Looking closely at the interior, you can see Cambrian Green leather on the upper part of the dashboard and Mandarin Orange leather on the lower dashboard, seats, and door trims.
Do these colors remind you of something? Yes, they are the colors of the Indian flag. In addition to these colors, the dashboard center trim features a unique design of wild horses running through mountains and hills.
The characteristics of each vehicle
Let’s take a quick look at each vehicle’s individual features. The Continental GT Speed has a W12 engine that delivers 659 horsepower and 22-inch dark chrome wheels. The Flying Spur Speed also has a W12 engine, producing 626 horsepower, and is equipped with a Naim audio system for superior sound quality.
The Bentayga EWB Azure boasts a larger interior space due to its extended length and wheelbase. It features two VIP seats in the second row for maximum comfort. Interestingly, all the Opulence Edition models were sold out almost instantly.
