Amid a heated battle with HYBE over management rights, NewJeans Hyein, a girl group member of ADOR, will not be participating in music shows in their upcoming comeback due to a minor foot fracture.
On May 8, ADOR announced the news of Hyein’s hiatus through the fan platform Weverse.
ADOR stated, “Hyein experienced pain in her foot during practice in April. She underwent a thorough examination at the hospital where a minor fracture was discovered. Despite focusing on treatment and recovery, she received medical advice to minimize movements that could strain her foot.”
Consequently, Hyein will not participate in the official activities of the double single “How Sweet”, including music shows, and will focus on rest and recuperation.

However, it was added that Hyein’s participation in schedules other than music shows and performances will be flexible, depending on her condition and the opinion of medical professionals.
ADOR, after announcing Hyein’s injury and absence from music show activities, comforted fans by saying, “We ask for your understanding, and we will do our best to ensure that Hyein can return in good health to be with her fans again.”
Amidst the controversy over management rights with HYBE, NewJeans pre-released the music video for their new song “Bubble Gum” on April 27.
“Bubble Gum” proved NewJeans status once again by achieving 27 million views in just 11 days after its release.
NewJeans is gearing up to release their new double single “How Sweet” on May 24.
