Offering a substantial reward to find a stolen Mercedes-Benz GT
The story of a car owner offering a substantial reward to recover a stolen Benz GT has gained attention on the online platform “Bobae Dream.”
On the 30th of last month, a post titled “Offering 10 million won (approx. $7500) reward to find stolen Benz GT vehicle” was shared on the online community.
The author, Mr. A, said, “My Mercedes-Benz GT vehicle was stolen, and I’m trying to find it. Please help.”
According to Mr. A, in mid-May of last year, an acquaintance asked if he could temporarily borrow Mr. A’s business vehicle for work.
The author generously lent the car, but the acquaintance delayed returning it beyond the agreed-upon deadline and eventually cut off all communication.
The author continued, “Frustrated, I reported it to the police, but they suspended the prosecution due to lack of contact with the acquaintance.” Mr. A further revealed that the acquaintance was being sought for criminal charges.
Subsequently, Mr. A has been paying a monthly lease fee of 2.3 million won (approx. $1700) for the vehicle for a year.
Feeling exasperated, Mr. A wrote the post, saying, “I’ve sought help under the guidance of a police officer currently investigating the case,” and added, “If anyone has information about the whereabouts or details of the vehicle, please contact me.” He even shared his personal contact information.
In a plea for assistance, Mr. A said, “I will offer a reward of 10 million won to the person who provides crucial information about locating the car,” and emotionally added, “Please help. Even the tiniest clue will be highly valued.”
This incident is similar to a story posted on Bobae Dream in June, where the owner of a Lamborghini Urus shared a similar experience.
At the time, a Lamborghini owner posted on Bobae Dream claiming that an acquaintance had stolen their vehicle and disappeared. After receiving a tip-off from an informant stating, “I think I saw this car,” the Lamborghini owner could meet with the informant and locate the vehicle in person.
The informant received the 5 million won (approx. $3800) reward offered by the Lamborghini owner, and both parties posted authentication photos of the recovered car.
Like the previous case, Mr. A is now receiving attention from netizens who wonder if they can help locate the stolen vehicle.
