Hello everyone! I’m an average office worker in the IT industry. What sets me apart? I share my home with three adorable cats named Melo, Churo, and Miro. Hence my handle, rorovely!
Before Interior Construction
I live in a 1,089-square-foot apartment. I’ve been here for nearly two months now. The apartment’s proximity to my workplace was a significant factor in choosing it. Additionally, the apartment has a four-bay structure, meaning every room receives ample sunlight, which also attracted me.
When I first moved in, the apartment was in excellent condition. However, it was a rental, so that I couldn’t personalize it to my liking. I had always dreamed of designing my space, and while budget limitations did restrict some choices, you can’t end human desires.
Apartment Tour Begins
As you walk past the hallway, which serves as a storeroom for miscellaneous items, you enter the sunny living room.
The apartment faces southeast, so the morning sunlight is simply magnificent. Sipping iced coffee on the sofa while soaking up the sun provides a tranquil start to the day. One noteworthy feature of my living room is the ceiling lights.
Ceiling Lights to Amplify Space
Installing these lights makes the ceiling appear higher and the room brighter, creating a sparkling effect, as if the ceiling is studded with stars. I can control the intensity, allowing me to set the room’s mood.
The living room lacks a TV but makes up for it with abundant cat furniture. Many visitors say it reminds them of a cat café.
The absence of a TV offers flexibility in furniture arrangement. I frequently rearrange the space and can place the sofa wherever I prefer.
My aesthetic leans toward comfort and a natural vibe, preferring a clean, clutter-free design. I tend to select wooden furniture with graceful lines, providing a long-lasting, comfortable atmosphere.
Furthermore, I wouldn’t say I like hassle, so I avoid intricate decorative items that are hard to clean. I prioritize storage, keeping things tucked away neatly in inconspicuous spaces.
Both my husband and I find our living room so comfortable that we can’t help but spend most of our time there.
Kitchen: Dividing Spaces with a Partition
Next, let’s talk about the kitchen. The focal point here is the island table with a partition.
