The Buldak Sauce has earned the rank of the most popular chicken hot sauce in the U.S. People have praised it for its versatility and ability to deliver K-food’s spicy taste easily and deliciously. The U.S. online media outlet FactsChronicle ranked Samyang Foods’ Buldak Sauce as the most popular chicken hot sauce in the U.S. on the 24th. FactsChronicle compared and analyzed chicken hot sauces listed on Amazon’s U.S. online shopping platform based on criteria such as price and consumer ratings and selected the top 10. However, many people duplicated the exact product because it was evaluated separately for both single and set sales.
In this survey, the Buldak Sauce ranked first and took the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th places. The trio of Buldak Sauce, Carbo Buldak Sauce, and Nuclear Buldak Sauce took the third place.
This is regarded as evidence of Samyang Foods’ popularity. FactsChronicle praised the Buldak Sauce, stating, “We strongly feel its uniquely delicious spicy flavor.”
As the Buldak lineup climbs to the upper ranks, it adds weight to Samyang Foods’ overseas business growth. The current atmosphere is also favorable. Samyang Foods recorded 285.4 billion won in Q2 consolidated sales, and 44 billion won in operating profit, marking an increase of 12% and 61.2% compared to the same period last year (approximately $241 million and $37 million, respectively).
The favorable exports of ramen to the U.S., mainly driven by the Buldak Sauce, are expected to contribute significantly to this year’s performance growth. Samyang Foods’ earnings are anticipated to expand further this year. This is because the high exchange rate situation is favorable. Samyang Foods’ overseas sales account for about 65% of the total.
Meanwhile, Frank’s RedHot Nashville Hot Wings Sauce ranked fourth in this survey.
