No, you can’t throw them away!
They’re so helpful.
You shouldn’t waste anything!

Tangerine season is finally back. Applause! It’s not quite winter yet, but who doesn’t love snuggling under a blanket and eating tangerines during fall and winter? Hands up!

When you eat like that, you can easily munch on dozens right there, and then you wonder, “When did I eat so many tangerines?” But, so far, you’ve just been throwing away the peels, right?

Today, I’ll show you how to use tangerine peels, from making a face pack to brewing tea and cleaning. From now on, please don’t throw away tangerine peels; use them like this.

1. Tangerine Jam

When making tangerine jam, it’s not just the peel that goes in; the whole tangerine, including the peel, is used. Before making the jam, wash it thoroughly using baking soda and vinegar since it’s something you’ll be eating!

You should add about 1/10 of the peel to reduce the bitter taste. The peel should be finely chopped for a nice texture when you eat it. Doesn’t the sweet and sour tangerine jam sound delicious?

2. Tangerine Peel Tea

Tangerine peel tea can warm you up in the winter. This tea is made from tangerine peels. Again, thorough washing with baking soda and vinegar is a must! Cut the tangerine peels into 2-3cm pieces, dry them thoroughly, and then brew them as tea.

As you can find on the internet, tangerine peels are effective for fatigue recovery and inhibiting cancer cell growth, so don’t throw them away and try making some!

3. Tangerine Natural Facial Mask

The peel, which contains more nutrients than the tangerine, can make a natural face pack! It’s easy to make and is packed with vitamins, so it’s great, right?

After thoroughly washing and drying, grind it in a blender. Then, adjust the consistency with honey, milk, or flour to make a natural face pack. So easy!

It may not suit everyone’s skin, so it would be a good idea to test a small amount on your hand before applying it to your face.

4. For Cleaning Microwaves

The most widely known use of tangerine peels is for cleaning microwaves! It seems like there are many intelligent people around who understand this. Did you know you can eliminate microwave odors with tangerine peels?

Collect the peels, add a little water, and run the microwave. The moisture will make it easy to clean even the most stubborn grime.

5. Tagenrine Peel Steaming

The tangerine peel steaming method was also featured on the TV program ‘My Body User’s Guide’! There are oil glands around the eyelids, and hot steaming can help open the blocked entrances of these glands.

Put the tangerine peels in a plastic bag and microwave for 40 seconds. The only thing to be cautious about is not to seal the bag completely! There’s a risk of it bursting. After that, wrap it in a towel and place it over your eyes. That’s it.

Tangerine peels are so versatile! They’re so helpful that you might think twice before throwing them away in the future.

How about using tangerine peels like this for this winter instead of throwing them away?
