Genes, Hormones, and Sun: ALL You Need to Know About Freckles

Eugene Park Views

What causes clusters of freckles?

Freckles that can make your skin look dirty. These freckles are determined at birth whether they will appear or not. Therefore, everyone should care for their skin to prevent freckles from appearing. When looking at the skin, not only do troubles give a dirty impression, but clusters of freckles can also make the impression dirty.

So, how do these freckles form, and how can we prevent them from appearing?

Freckles that occur genetically are related to female hormones

Whether or not freckles will appear is determined genetically. If a person born with the freckle gene is exposed to ultraviolet rays or female hormones, skin damage freckles will appear, while those without the freckle gene will not show them even under these influences.

Or even if you have the freckle gene, if you do not get much sunlight, are a male without female hormones, and do not have skin damage, freckles may not occur even if you have the gene. Most freckles appear in middle-aged women and can appear as early as in their 20s, with the most common cases appearing in women in their 20s and 30s. This is because female hormones play an essential role.

Causes of Freckles

A characteristic of freckles is the appearance of unclear pigment deposits. The influence of ultraviolet rays is the most important, so they mainly occur due to sunlight exposure. Most commonly, they appear on the cheeks, nose bridge, and, in severe cases, the forehead. In some cases, they can occur around the mouth. They are less likely to form in areas that do not get much sunlight, and they appear darker in areas that receive more stimulation.

Transparent pigments can be considered freckles, but medically, they can be called melanin or other types of pigments, such as freckles. Freckles are more challenging to treat than other pigments, and if a strong laser or scab-forming laser is used, skin damage can occur, and the freckles can worsen, so caution is necessary.

Freckle Prevention Methods

Preventing freckles is challenging to change genes or regulate female hormones, so blocking ultraviolet rays can be the most reliable method. Not only ultraviolet rays but also using cosmetics that give strong stimulation to the skin or, getting wounds or being exposed to hot places for a long time can also cause freckles, so it is good to block as much as possible damage to the skin.

The best way to quickly recover and reduce skin damage from the inside is to use antioxidants such as vitamins, coenzyme Q10, and antioxidant supplements, and using cosmetics can help prevent freckles.
