Booking.com created the Wonka suite to celebrate the release of the movie Wonka. They have placed items from the actual movie in the room, including a candy tree model and a chocolate bar-shaped bed, to recreate the movie scenes faithfully.
The “Golden Ticket” that allows you to stay in the Wonka Suite has been only given to two people worldwide. Reservations have been made on a first-come, first-served basis on Booking.com at noon on December 13. Only the first two people to successfully reserve will get the chance to stay. The accommodation price is set at $12.15 to commemorate the movie’s release date (December 15, North American time).
The Wonka Suites are at the Park Lane Hotel in New York and the Viceroy Santa Monica in Los Angeles. One-night stays were available at both hotels from December 15 to 16.
In addition to the accommodation event, Booking.com exclusively unveiled merchandise related to the movie Wonka, including vintage posters with chocolate drawings and Wonka candy drinks.
The movie Wonka is a prequel to Roald Dahl’s fairy tale Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and it covers the backstory of the secondary character, Willy Wonka.
