Thyroid Patient’s Diet Plan
Loses 42 pounds in 8 months
Doctor-Recommended Secret
The diet plan that helped me lose 42 pounds in 8 months has captured the attention of many.
A 25-year-old Vietnamese woman shared her secret of losing 42 pounds in just 8 months through social media.
The woman, who is now a health coach, said, “I used to struggle with hyperthyroidism and experience rapid weight gain, and my health deteriorated. But now I’m full of energy.”
The woman was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism after visiting a hospital due to breathing difficulties and rapid heartbeats.
Following the diagnosis, the woman found herself taking over 20 pills daily for treatment, which only exacerbated her weight gain over two months.
The woman said, “I gained more than 22 pounds in a month,” and “The doctor advised me to plan meals and manage my calorie intake because my metabolism has worsened much more than usual due to hyperthyroidism.”
The recommended daily calorie intake for adult women is 1,600-2,400 calories, and she followed her meals consisting of balanced portions: approximately 400-500 calories for breakfast, 600-700 calories for lunch, 400-500 calories for dinner, and around 200 calories for snacks.
She decided to cook for herself in the kitchen and opted for nutrient-rich yet low-calorie foods such as chicken breast, fish, shrimp, squid, egg whites, vegetables, and beans.
She said, “I used to love sugar, carbonated drinks, milk tea, and fast food, but I cut down and almost completely quit.”
To combat persistent hunger pangs from reducing calorie intake, she shifted from three larger meals to five or six smaller meals throughout the day.
Finally, she exercised regularly. After eating healthily and exercising, she lost 42 pounds in 8 months, and her current weight is 106 pounds. Notably, her symptoms of hyperthyroidism have also shown improvement.
