② Great Hadong Travel Destination to Enjoy Spring
Hadong Sipri Cherry Blossom Road is famous as a representative cherry blossom spot in Hadong. Cherry trees are located along the approximately 3.1-mile road from Ssanggyesa to Hwagae Market. This place is also called “Marriage Road” as it is said that if a loving couple walks hand in hand here, they will be happy for a hundred years.
In Hadong, cherry blossoms bloom from the end of March. The Hwagae Market Cherry Blossom Festival is held every April. It’s a great place to enjoy the fully bloomed cherry blossoms and the festive atmosphere. At night, the landscape lighting is turned on, creating a romantic atmosphere.
Chakkot-omi is a Hanok Stay in Hadong. It is composed of a Hanok form that blends well with Hadong’s natural landscape. They have operated a Hanok Stay since 2017, when they renovated a 100-year-old traditional house.
The main building is a guesthouse, and the Haengnangchae (a wing) is a tea room. Sitting on the wooden floor, you can feel the tranquility of the rural village. You can spend time with the cat living in Chakkot-omi while sipping a warm cup of tea. It’s where you can spend a comfortable day as if you came to play at your grandmother’s house in the countryside.

③ Representative Domestic Tea Production Field
Hadong is one of the representative tea production areas in Korea. The tea produced in Hadong is famous for its good quality. Among the many tea fields in Hadong, there is a place popular among tourists.
Jeonggeumdawon is the first tea field in Korea to plant trees. It is located near the Seomjin River and Hwagaecheon Stream and has an environment suitable for tea cultivation. At the top of Jeonggeumdawon, there is a pavilion. Tourists often visit here to take pictures with the tea field as the background. The tea field is in full view, creating a unique landscape.
Jeonggeumdawon has a 1.67-mile walking path called Millennium Tea Field Trail. It’s great to stroll and enjoy the tranquil scenery of Jeonggeumdawon.
Maam Jedawon is the most famous tea field in Hadong. It’s a place where you can enjoy a cup of tea while looking at the scenery of the tea field. It’s a tea field of about 5.14 acres and exudes a charming atmosphere. It’s nice to sit in a Hanok building and enjoy the tranquil scenery of the tea field.
