At Walt Disney World, guests have the unique opportunity to enjoy breakfast with beloved characters. Character dining offers a unique experience where visitors can meet a diverse range of famous characters, from classics like Winnie the Pooh to modern favorites like Elsa, all while indulging in delicious Disney World cuisine.
There are 11-character breakfast options across Walt Disney World, with some in the parks and the resorts. Typically offered in buffet style, these restaurants feature similar menus and are priced higher than other dining options at the accommodations. However, they are worth it.
At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, there is the beloved Ohana restaurant. It’s a must-do for Lilo and Stitch fans. Not only does Stitch have breakfast with Lilo, who rarely goes outside, but also Mickey and the Fab 5, who are ready for vacation in their best Hawaiian shirts. Ohana is so popular that making reservations precisely 60 days before your vacation begins is advisable.
This character breakfast is served family-style, unlike many other buffet breakfast options. It’s particularly famous for its pineapple coconut bread. There’s no other place that can replace it. You can also enjoy Stitch waffles, which are just as delicious as Mickey waffles, featuring the lovable Stitch’s face.
The Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT also serves family-style food. Guests do not need to fetch food in turns, and that’s a big plus! This restaurant boasts a view of EPCOT’s Land Pavilion, but what makes it even more remarkable is that it overlooks our beloved Living with the Land ride. With a farm theme that captivates attention, guests can see beloved characters like Mickey, Chip, and Dale in their best character costumes.
This artistic-themed restaurant at the Riviera Resort is a great dining space popular with families and groups without children. Topolino is an excellent choice for main dishes like Quiche Gruyère or Sour Cream Waffle.
The highlight of this place is the view from Topolino’s Terrace. Situated on the rooftop of the Riviera Resort, it boasts panoramic vistas that rank among the best in the area. If possible, request window or balcony seating to enjoy the best view from the restaurant.
It’s a popular spot, so making a reservation can be difficult. Reservations are highly recommended because the place is always bustling.
Aside from the 90s nostalgia that the Cape May Cafe logo evokes, this Beach Club Resort restaurant is less known among character meals because characters are only present during breakfast. The staff here showcases true New England Beach Club fashion. The breakfast at Cape May Cafe is standard compared to other breakfast options. If you’re staying at The Boardwalk and within walking distance from the restaurant, having a character meal here might be convenient.
Perhaps the least known character breakfast option is Good Morning Breakfast at Ravello. This delightful experience features Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy dressed in resort attire, all in the luxurious atmosphere of the Four Seasons Hotel.
However, the biggest drawback is its lack of accessibility. Traveling to the Four Seasons from other Disney locations isn’t straightforward, requiring options like Uber or personal vehicles. It’s more suited for the Four Seasons Hotel guests than those visiting Walt Disney facilities. The price is also on the higher end.
