Members of the K-pop group AESPA, Karina, and Winter, recently shared their travel experiences in Thailand. The two seemed to enjoy a fulfilling trip. Karina expressed her fondness for Bangkok on social media, posting, “I really like Bangkok.”

The pair spent time traveling through the streets of Bangkok, visibly enjoying their vacation with happy smiles. Photos from their Bangkok trip garnered significant attention among fans, receiving explosive numbers of likes with each publicized picture, sparking discussions. Let’s look closer at Karina and Winter’s adventures in Bangkok.

Karina and Winter visited the area near the Bang Sue Junction Shopping Center. This shopping mall, located in front of the Chatuchak Weekend Market, is one of the largest in Bangkok and sells various vintage products. It was also great to visit the nearby local markets together.

The Or Tor Kor Market in Bangkok is a direct sales market for agricultural products. It sells a variety of fruits and vegetables. It is indoors so that you can visit regardless of the weather. It’s a paradise for Koreans who love tropical fruits. You can taste mangoes at a reasonable price. Compared to the Chatuchak Market, it is known to be less crowded.

Adjacent to Or Tor Kor Market is a food court where you can enjoy local cuisine. It’s recommended as a local market where you can catch a glimpse of Bangkok locals’ daily lives. It’s a 5-minute walk from MTR Kamphaeng Phet Station.

The two also visited Lumpini Park in Bangkok. Winter was excited to ride a Tuk Tuk, a local transportation method, and visit the park. Winter posted a photo of her relaxing time in Lumpini Park. She was surprised to spot a monitor lizard in the park.

Lumpini Park is a large-scale lake park in Bangkok, established on land donated by King Rama VI in 1925 and spanning approximately 580,000 square meters. Diverse plants inhabit the park, making it well-suited for strolls and boat rides on the lake. With numerous resting spots throughout the park, it’s common to see locals enjoying picnics.

Notably, the monitor lizards in Lumpini Park are a natural habitat. However, due to the sudden increase in their population, they started to threaten visitors in search of food, posing a problem. Authorities launched extensive trapping operations.

Winter and Karina enjoyed a leisurely vacation in Bangkok. Karina shared a photo taken in a café, introducing it as the “life-changing tiramisu.” The irresistibly sweet tiramisu caught everyone’s attention at a glance.

After sunset, the two set out to appreciate a representative temple of Bangkok. Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a landmark in Bangkok. It is a familiar temple to Thais as it is engraved on the 10 Baht coin.

Wat Arun symbolizes the Hindu god Shiva and features intricate decorations up close. It’s considered one of the most sophisticatedly crafted temples in Bangkok. Viewing it from afar and up close evokes different feelings.

In particular, Wat Arun’s highlight is its night view. It’s a popular spot from sunset to nighttime, offering a panoramic view of Bangkok. Karina and Winter also took their seats to enjoy the night view at Wat Arun. They captured photos against the backdrop of the night scenery.

The night view of Wat Arun can be enjoyed from the opposite side of the Chao Phraya River. Cafes and restaurants along the river offer a full view of Wat Arun. Even if you don’t visit a cafe or restaurant, you can enjoy the view of Wat Arun from the pier. If you want to experience Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife, the night view at Wat Arun is a must-see.
