Three actions that men should avoid after sex are a hot topic after their reveal. Sanook reported on harmful habits for men after sex, covered by the website SOHA. A doctor in China cautioned, “Men should not rush into these three activities after intimacy to avoid infection and stroke.
While most men wash off the sweat from their bodies after sex with a shower, the doctor cautioned against this habit. “Intimacy is similar to exercise. Heart rate and blood pressure increase, body temperature rises, and sweat is produced. Showering right after intimacy can rapidly drop the body temperature and increase pressure on the cardiovascular system,” the doctor shared.
“This can increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, especially for those who are already suffering from related conditions,” he continued.
For safety, it’s recommended to take a 30-minute rest until the body stops sweating and the heart rate stabilizes.
The doctor also warned that it is not advisable to urinate immediately after sex. As the male urethra is also where semen is expelled, it is better to rest for 5-10 minutes to allow the body to relax and the penis to soften.
When ejaculating, the male urethra and prostate are under a certain amount of pressure. Urinating immediately can cause pain, increase the risk of urinary reflux, and, in severe cases, lead to prostatitis.
Another action to avoid is turning the air conditioner to low temperatures, which can widen skin pores.
Exposure to cold air can make the body more sensitive to cold and increase fatigue the next day, requiring caution.
