After spending two years undergoing limb lengthening surgery, also known as height increase surgery, German model Theresia Fischer shared her updates.
The Sun reported that Fischer underwent limb lengthening surgery to extend her legs to 45 inches (about 3′ 9″)
An influencer with 150,000 followers, Fischer went viral for sharing the process of her limb-lengthening surgery on social media. She received her final, eighth surgery to remove the metal rods that were implanted during the operation and was discharged from the hospital.
Through two rounds of limb lengthening surgery, Fischer grew from 168 cm to 183 cm (5’6″ to 6’0″), spending nearly £300,000 (approximately $4.4 million) on the surgery.
Fischer reportedly underwent limb-lengthening surgery in 2016 at the suggestion of her ex, who promised to love her unconditionally if she extended her legs.
“I was deeply depressed at 24 years old. I wanted to be loved right away,” she confessed on Instagram.
She continued, “I lacked self-confidence and went through with the surgery to fulfill my ex-husband’s wish to lengthen my legs by 6 inches. The pain that I endured for eight years was so enormous (physical and mental) that I cannot even put it into words.”
Fischer stated, “Today is the day I removed the last 2% of my past from my body. I still have a lot to overcome emotionally, but now I have the strength to heal.”
“Love is support, tolerance, and abundance. It is not made of shrinking and dependence,” she added.
Fischer cannot move without a wheelchair, but she plans to start modeling again once she can walk. She also said she plans to start a family with her new partner.
