Marvel actor Jonathan Majors (34) has spoken out for the first time since being convicted of assaulting a former girlfriend.
On the 8th (local time), Jonathan Majors appeared on ABC News’ *Good Morning America* in the United States and expressed shock and fear about the guilty verdict, indicating that he could not accept the outcome.
On the show, Majors voiced his grievances about the guilty verdict. He questioned, “How is this verdict possible even when based on the prosecution’s evidence, let alone ours?”
In March of last year, Majors was arrested on charges of violence during a dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabari. Jabari was transferred to a hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck, and Majors was charged with three counts, including misdemeanor assault, aggravated sexual harassment, and sexual assault.
Majors’ side strongly denied the assault charges, claiming that “Grace Jabari fabricated the assault after their relationship turned sour,” but was ultimately found guilty in December of last year.
On *Good Morning America*, Majors stated, “I feel no remorse. I only regret not breaking up with Jabari sooner.”
He repeatedly emphasized that he did not physically harm his former lover, adding, “I was reckless with her heart, not her body. I have never laid a hand on a woman.”
Lastly, regarding his future plans, Majors said, “I want to rebuild my career in Hollywood,” and “I pray that I can return to the screen.”
Meanwhile, Jonathan Majors gained recognition in Korea for his role as the villain Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel film *Ant-Man: Quantummania*. Despite the controversy, Marvel initially hesitated to take action, even featuring Majors in Disney Plus’ *Loki 2*. However, following his conviction, they ultimately fired Jonathan Majors.
