The internet is buzzing with a video of a man who, after winning a jackpot of approximately $3 million at a casino, collapsed from a heart attack from pure excitement.
Sanook said the man won 4 million Singapore dollars (about USD 3 million) at the Marina Bay Sands Casino in Singapore on June 22.
In the video, the man can be seen sprinting across the casino floor before abruptly clutching his chest and passing out. Security and medical personnel attend to the man, and a woman kneels beside him, pleading for assistance.
Many social media reports claimed the man passed away shortly after the video was made public, but these reports proved to be false.
After being taken to a hospital, the man miraculously recovers. “The fake news is causing distress to the customer and his family,” the casino appealed. “The man is in the hospital recovering and hasn’t even had a chance to collect his winnings.”
Some questioned what would happen if a jackpot winner passed away before receiving their winnings in light of this news. “The winner’s heirs would receive the prize money,” a lawyer responded to clarify.
