Taiwanese lawmaker Ho Chihning, in her 20s, often referred to as Taiwan’s “most beautiful politician,” recently made headlines for kicking a man in the groin. This incident occurred after he sexually harassed her during a trip to Japan.
8 days reported that Chihning was sexually harassed by a drunken man near Otsuka station in Tokyo on June 15.
After Chihning firmly rejected the man when he tried to start a conversation in a mix of broken Japanese and English, he began to follow her.
Chihning tried to shake off the man by entering a nearby bookstore, but he followed her inside. As Chihning was leaving the store, the man groped her butt, but Chihning kicked him in the groin in self-defense and reported him to the police.
After attempting to flee from the police, the man was swiftly arrested, and Chihning shared the video of the incident on social media.
The video quickly went viral not only in Japan but also in Taiwan. “Although this happened in Japan, I harbor no ill will towards the country. The man who harassed me was not Japanese, but a foreigner,” she shared.
The man was arrested on June 18 in violation of the civil harassment prevention ordinance.
