Rescue workers issued a report in response to the multiple accidents, warning about the dangers associated with a commonly used hair accessory.
According to the report, hair claw clips are usually placed in the middle of the back of the head, a vulnerable area with little tissue covering it.
The back of the head is particularly vulnerable to injury, especially in accidents. To minimize risk, opting for clips that are not made of metal is safer, as these can exacerbate injuries. It’s also advisable to avoid wearing clips while driving, riding, working out, or in environments where slipping is likely.
