A Chinese company recently found itself in the spotlight after sharing bizarre messages between its customer service team and a woman who claimed her daughter became pregnant after wearing underwear purchased from the company.

According to a report from Oddity Central, the company publicly disclosed this absurd claim as a warning. The incident began when a woman contacted the customer support team after buying underwear from Taobao, one of China’s largest online shopping malls, claiming that her daughter became pregnant after wearing the underwear.

Despite the customer service team’s efforts to explain that such a scenario was biologically impossible, the woman persisted in her belief. In a bid to clear up the confusion, the company pointed out that all their factory employees are women and that the owner had undergone a vasectomy, emphasizing that there was no link between their product and the alleged pregnancy.

The woman then posted on an online forum, stating, “My daughter became pregnant after wearing the underwear,” to which the company replied, “Underwear cannot be a means of pregnancy.”

The company, concerned that the woman might distort her story and share it publicly, decided to post the message content on social media directly. As expected, the post quickly became a hot topic, with many netizens making various jokes and theories about the alleged cause of the pregnancy.

Some speculated that the girl lied to her mother out of fear of getting in trouble, while others suggested even more absurd theories, such as becoming pregnant in a public swimming pool. After the story gained significant attention online, the company’s CEO attempted to contact the woman directly. Upon investigation, it turned out that the complaining woman was an influencer. Consequently, the CEO concluded that the incident was likely just an attempt to gain attention.

In response, the CEO expressed disdain for such actions, criticizing the woman for fabricating the story for publicity. He warned that such false claims could seriously damage the business, potentially leading to the factory’s closure or significant harm to the company’s reputation.
