In a shocking and heartbreaking turn, a young woman in her twenties ignored her cancer symptoms for over a year, only to be diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.
Sanook reported that the woman, a 23-year-old from the UK, had just graduated from college when she received the life-changing news. Despite experiencing symptoms a year earlier, she brushed them off, assuming it was just college stress. After her diagnosis, she endured a year of chemotherapy to fight the disease.
She opened up about the warning signs by talking to TikTok about her experience. “If you think something’s wrong, don’t wait—go see a doctor. I’m not trying to scare anyone, but recognizing the symptoms early is key,” she urged her followers.
“At the time, I was sweating like crazy and constantly exhausted. I felt pain when drinking alcohol and would bruise for no reason,” she recalled.
Things escalated when she developed a dry cough that worsened to the point where she couldn’t breathe, which finally pushed her to see a doctor. “If you’re dealing with any of these symptoms, don’t wait—get to the hospital.”
She also shared a message of hope for other cancer patients: “Good things will come. You just have to hang in there and see its value tenfold.”
