On the 17th, Beckham conversed with five boys and girls in a video released on the children’s YouTube channel “‘ODG.” ODG is known for producing content that interviews celebrities from children’s perspectives.
During the conversation, the children asked Beckham about his favorite Korean soccer player. Beckham said, “I like Park Ji-sung. He was an outstanding player at Manchester United. And he’s a good person.”
Park Ji-sung, who has played for Manchester United since 2005, has secured numerous titles, including the English Premier League (4 times) and the UEFA Champions League (1 time). He received much love from soccer fans.
When Beckham asked about the children’s favorite soccer players, they mentioned Son Heung-min, Cha Bum-kun, and Lee Kang-in. When asked if he knew Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in, Beckham replied, “Of course I know. They’re good players.”
Beckham also shared heartfelt life advice with the children. He said, “When I was 12, I was always the last one picked. No one passed the ball to me. From then on, I always practiced hard and put in the effort. That’s how I became a professional soccer player,” he added.
He continued, “I always wanted to be a soccer player. I was so happy when I played soccer. I dedicated myself and made many sacrifices to become a professional soccer player,” and added, “Whether it’s soccer or any other field, it’s important to practice hard to be the best. But the most important thing is to enjoy it.”
Beckham, renowned for his stellar career as a British soccer player, gained fame for his remarkable skills and star quality during his time at Manchester United. He was also a key player in the treble during the 1988-1999 season.
After transferring to Real Madrid in Spain in 2003, he played for LA Galaxy (USA), Paris Saint-Germain (France), and ultimately retiring from professional soccer in 2013.
