North Korea Braces for Spring Drought Amid Abnormal Weather Patterns Amid severe natural disasters in many parts of the world, a forecast suggests that extreme weather events could affect North Korea in the coming days."Between late spring and early summer this year, there will be less rain in North Korea, and drought phenomena will appear in several regions, mainly in the southern part of the country, such as South Hwanghae Province," the Rodong Sinmun newspaper reported on Sunday, citing a forecast by the deputy head of the Central Weather Forecasting Team at the North Korean Water Resources and Meteorology Administration.
