Tesla offers six months of free supercharging for Model 3 and Model Y orders delivered to the North American market by the end of the year. This is the second promotional program following a price reduction of up to $3,000 to stimulate sales. Tesla also lowered the lease prices of Model 3 and Model Y in the early fourth quarter.
However, consumers may need to choose the partially updated Model 3 Highland, which is set to launch early next year. While most charging in the U.S. market is much cheaper than gasoline and takes place at home, the free Supercharger incentive is effective for new buyers. Several months of free Supercharging can benefit users who cannot charge at home or do not fully understand their charging situation, helping them get started with ownership.
