Some drivers dream of owning a large car. In this sense, the Chevrolet Tahoe is a vehicle that realizes the ‘big car’ dream with its overwhelming size and striking design. Tahoe has been produced by Chevrolet since 1992 and is well-known as a representative American full-size SUV.
In Korea, Tahoe was launched in 2022 and received considerable popularity thanks to its price range of 90 million won ($76,000), which was 20 million won cheaper than its competitor, Expedition by Ford. Tahoe’s facelift has been attracting attention.

Tahoe uses the same platform as the Cadillac Escalade. It has dimensions of length of 210 inches, width of 81 inches, height of 76 inches, wheelbase of 121 inches, and a gross weight of 5,842 pounds. The standard tire size is 22 inches.
Even the Palisade, which is considered a large SUV in Korea, looks small compared to Tahoe.
The palisade has dimensions of length of 196 inches, width of 78 inches, height of 69 inches, wheelbase of 68 inches, and a gross weight of 4,343 pounds. The numerical difference in their specifications tells Tahoe’s enormous size.
Full-size SUV, Tahoe Scheduled for Facelift
Chevrolet announced to launch facelift model of Tahoe with a new design and improved features.
In terms of the exterior, the position of the front headlamps has been moved down through the facelift, and replaced with the top DRL. Tahoe’s interior design changes will be more dramatic than its exterior through the facelift.
The previously small screen has been replaced with a 17.7-inch center infotainment screen, providing greater convenience to users. Also, the driver’s cluster has been changed to 11 inches, delivering information more efficiently.
In addition, many features have been applied to the driver’s seat and infotainment screen to enhance functionality and design.
Powertrain Remains the Same
When Will It Be Released and How Much Will It Cost?
The powertrain of Tahoe remains the same. It boasts an 8-cylinder 6.2L gasoline direct injection engine, with a maximum output of 426 horsepower and a maximum torque of 63.6kg.m. Tahoe offers a powerful and stable ride comfort. As with the previous model, it features the “Air Ride Adaptive Suspension” that automatically lowers the road clearance to reduce air resistance and the“Magnetic Ride Control” system that reduces rolling and vibration, offering the best ride comfort to passengers.
The 2025 Tahoe facelift is scheduled to be released in the North American market in the second half of 2024. As for the price, it is expected to be around 85,000 dollars in the North American market, and between 99 million won and 100 million won in the Korean market. Regardless, no details have been revealed for its launch and price in Korea.
