Samsung Electronics is enhancing the artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities of its wireless earphone series, Galaxy Buds, through a software update.
Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that the newly upgraded Galaxy Buds incorporate various hands-free AI features to support the multiple AI innovations of the Galaxy S24 series more smoothly.
According to Samsung Electronics, the updated Galaxy Buds software will enable smoother and more seamless use of the “interpretation” feature of the Galaxy S24 series.
When wearing Galaxy Buds, users can listen to the interpretation from about 33 feet away, while the other party can hear the translation through the user’s smartphone speaker.
Conversations with foreigners become more convenient for users with a Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Buds as there’s no need to exchange devices during the conversation.
Samsung Electronics explained, “Also if you want to change the speech order during the conversation, you can easily adjust it by simply touching the Buds.”
In addition, Samsung Electronics announced that it provides voice activation through Bixby for some of the Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S24 series.
With Bixby, users can easily use various innovative features based on Galaxy AI by voice without finding the menu.
For example, users can initiate the “real-time interpretation” phone call function by simply saying “Call Michael in English.”
Furthermore, functions such as spell check or web page summary in the Samsung Note app can be controlled by voice commands like “Correct the spelling” or “Summarize the current page” on Samsung Internet.
The updated features of Bixby are available in multiple languages, including Korean, English (US, UK, India), French, German, Italian, Spanish (Spain, Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese, and other Bixby-supported languages.
