But recently, a particular vehicle has caught everyone’s attention. A new Lamborghini, which has not yet been released in Korea, was filmed on the road. As speculation varies on how this vehicle came into the country, the exciting news adds to the anticipation.
Despite All the Speculation, It Was Owned by the Headquarters
On the 6th, a photo of a Lamborghini with a temporary license plate was posted on the Naver Cafe “Men’s Car.” The model is the Revuelto, unveiled in March last year, and is the successor to Lamborghini’s flagship supercar, the Aventador. While it has been delivered to customers in Italy since this year, it has not yet been launched in Korea, raising questions about how it got here.
Various speculations were made, such as that a wealthy individual who wanted to have the Revuelto early could have imported it at a higher cost. However, it was revealed that it was not a privately owned vehicle. According to the local media outlet Motor Weekend, it is rumored to be a vehicle owned by the Lamborghini headquarters in Italy. It was brought in for road testing in anticipation of the Korean market launch. It has a four-digit metal license plate, unlike the six-digit temporary plates issued when purchasing a new car, which adds credibility to this speculation.

Total Output of 1,015 Horsepower
The Lamborghini Revuelto, on the other hand, is the first to apply a newly developed architecture and a hybrid powertrain based on a V12 naturally aspirated engine. The maximum output and torque of the 6.5L V12 engine alone are 825 horsepower and 73.9 kgf.m, respectively, surpassing the Aventador, with a maximum of 9,500 rpm. In addition, it is equipped with three electric motors, resulting in a total system output of 1,015 horsepower.
Unlike the previous technology of transmitting engine power to the front wheels, a new four-wheel drive system has been installed. The rear wheels are driven by an electric motor integrated into the transmission and the engine, while the front wheels are powered by two electric motors mounted at the front. In the center tunnel, a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack replaces the propeller shaft, ensuring load distribution and center of gravity.

Although the hybrid powertrain is installed, the weight is 10% lighter than the Aventador. As a result, it boasts impressive acceleration, reaching 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and 0 to 124 mph in less than 7 seconds. The top speed can reach up to 217 mph. As befits a hybrid, it offers various driving modes. If you don’t want the electric motor to intervene, you can drive with the engine alone, enjoying the feel of a pure internal combustion supercar. Conversely, quiet driving is also possible with just the electric motor.
The domestic sales price of the Revuelto is estimated to be between $675,000 and $845,000, but according to the industry, there is a high possibility that it will start at $660,000. However, it’s not difficult to imagine that adding various custom options could push the price to $845,000. Despite not officially launching yet, it’s surprising that the domestic allocation for three years has already sold out.
