Complete Change Expected for Palisade
Test Car Spotted
Design Resembling Grandeur Attracts Attention
Hyundai is currently working on a midsize SUV called the Palisade, which is expected to undergo a complete overhaul for its upcoming model (LX3), which will be released early next year. Last year, the Palisade sold 41,093 units and gained immense popularity in the midsize SUV market. As a result, customers are increasingly anticipating the new Palisade’s design and features.
Multiple sightings of the Palisade test car have revealed some of its design. Renderings based on these sightings have been released, leading to speculation about the design. One particular rendering has garnered attention due to its unique features.
Application of Horizontal Daytime Running Lights
Split Headlamp Design
In a rendering by Kolesa, the smooth curve of the hood line and the horizontal daytime running lights that match the parting line are eye-catching. The lower part features a split headlamp similar to the Grandeur and a spacious grill, reflecting Hyundai’s latest design elements. A chrome garnish has been added to the vertical headlamp line to enhance its sophistication.
An assertive garnish sticks out on the exterior. The hood, which is positioned high and extends towards the front, has a rather elongated length. Its flat appearance contrasts with the smooth front. The sides are adorned with auto-flush-type door handles, creating a streamlined exterior.
Rear Part Also Features Horizontal Design
Actual Design Somewhat Different
The daytime running lights on this vehicle extend horizontally to the side character line and then straight to the tail lamp. The wheelhouse has been covered with thin matte black cladding, while the deeply carved fender line contrasts with the voluminous sideline. The rear of the vehicle, like the front, features a straight tail lamp.
The end of the tail lamp drops diagonally along the vehicle body. Inside, horizontal lamp lines are layered. The length of the lamp increases as it goes up, forming a trapezoidal shape. The tailgate features an inwardly carved design. The rendered Palisade has a unique design, but it differs from the design of the recently released test car.
Angular and Masculine Charm
Significant Changes in Interior
The actual design seems to adopt a more angular and bold style, exuding a masculine charm. The test car’s headlamp features an angular design and is arranged along the front line. The rear also emphasizes the vertical tail lamp, which differs from the rendering. Although it varies somewhat from the appearance, it showcases the designer’s rich imagination.
By increasing the body size, the new Palisade is expected to offer a spacious interior. The interior features two 12.3-inch displays connected to a panoramic curved display. The upper dashboard protrudes forward, wrapping around the display. Furthermore, Hyundai’s latest design, featuring a distinct column-type gear selector, will be integrated into the interior.
