Tesla Offers One-Month Free Trials of Full Self-Driving

Tesla Offers New Car Buyers and
Existing Owners
One Month Free Trial of FSD

Tesla has unveiled a groundbreaking benefit for new car buyers and existing Tesla owners. The company offers a one-month free trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, an option worth approximately 1,615,000 KRW (around $1,400).

People who have already purchased a Tesla vehicle can utilize this feature for free, even if they didn’t buy this option, as long as their car is equipped with the necessary hardware. Consumers are excited to buy a Tesla and try the full self-driving feature.

Elon Musk’s Leaked Email Reveals
One Month Free Trial of FSD

An email sent by Elon Musk to all Tesla employees was recently leaked. The email indicated that Tesla would offer new car buyers a one-month free trial of the FSD feature and the same benefit to existing Tesla owners. This move suggests that Tesla has significantly improved its autonomous software.

Tesla is taking preventative measures regarding FSD version 12. Elon Musk’s leaked email confirmed that he instructed employees to provide detailed guidance to customers receiving their vehicles, ensuring they can effectively use the FSD V12.3.1 feature. Tesla’s recent efforts to promote FSD version 12 underscore the company’s commitment to autonomous driving technology.

If You Repeatedly Let Go of the Steering Wheel
The FSD System Will Be Disabled

In December 2023, Tesla recalled over 2 million vehicles to update the software of its Autopilot system. This was due to warnings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), urging stricter measures to prevent drivers from abusing the autonomous driving system.

According to a long-term investigation by the NHTSA, Tesla’s full self-driving feature, mainly its AutoSteer function, had some flaws. In response, Tesla modified the system to send more alerts to drivers to keep their hands on the steering wheel. The company also added a feature that turns off the system if the driver continually removes their hands from the wheel or misuses the autonomous driving feature.

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Feature is
A Core Component of Next-Generation Vehicles

Meanwhile, Robin Zeng, the chairman of CATL, a Chinese electric vehicle battery manufacturer, recently discussed the company’s collaboration with Tesla in an interview with foreign media.
Zeng mentioned Tesla’s future models and batteries, hinting at the possibility of CATL developing cells for Tesla’s robotaxis. CATL also plans to supply battery machinery to expand Tesla’s Gigafactory in Nevada.

Tesla’s FSD feature is expected to be a central component in next-generation vehicles, and offering a one-month free trial of the FSD option appears to be a strategy to allow more customers to experience FSD, laying the groundwork for future vehicles.
