What a BMW pickup truck looks like
Harmony with a dynamic appearance
The 2019 pickup truck revealed
Manufacturers also implement various strategies in line with the rapidly changing automobile market. Among them, BMW also unveiled the Neue Klasse X as its future vision. Regarding internal combustion engines, the M5 and M5 Touring are scheduled to be released.
BMW is keeping pace with the eco-friendly trend and promptly responding to hybrid demand. Is it possible for BMW to make a pickup truck? As BMW boldly tries new things, many consumers expect it to be feasible if demand is supported.
Square kidney grille
Expanded size to accommodate the front
A new rendering of a BMW SUV-based virtual pickup truck that reflects these expectations has emerged and is becoming a hot topic among netizens. The rendering was produced by SRK Designs using CGI technology, which presented a new direction for BMW’s design. Looking at the released expected rendering, the enlarged kidney grill catches the eye.
It is located on the front and has an angular, almost square design. The headlamp’s design did not significantly differ from the existing one. BMW’s sporty design receives good reviews for its harmony with pickup trucks. As pickup truck designs mainly reflect masculine charm and strength, it delivers a unique feeling.
The pickup truck flaunts its massive size
Harmonizing with a sleek design
It has a high ride height, width, and bonnet as a pickup truck. The size of the expansive bonnet extends to the front while maintaining its height. On both sides of the bottom, air intakes emphasizing verticality are located deep in the shape of a concave depression. In the case of the bumper fascia, an angular design was applied, and it protruded aggressively.
The BMW pickup truck unveiled in 2019 also became a hot topic. This pickup truck is based on BMW’s X7 and was made by 12 apprentices over 10 months. There are traces of effort made to create the feel of a luxury pickup truck, such as finishing the loading box with high-quality wood. However, since apprentices made it, some finishing touches appear lacking.
Based on the X7 M performance model
It has an even sportier look
A designer who was disappointed with the level of completion of the pickup trucks made by apprentices created a rendering of the X7 pickup truck. It features a sportier design based on the M Performance model. Rendering designer Rain Prisk created this realistic and sophisticated image. The main features are the angled rear spoiler and vertical brake lights.
As with the M Performance model, sporty features such as a dedicated kidney grille, side mirror caps, and angled muffler tips were added. On the side, thick tires and V-spoke wheels show off a dynamic appearance. Unfortunately, BMW denied the launch rumor last year, saying that a pickup truck is unsuitable for the brand. However, BMW said that if it were to enter the segment, it would approach it with a long-term plan. Consumers continue to pay attention to how BMW will respond to the increased demand for leisure activities and pickup trucks following the coronavirus pandemic.
