As the release date approaches, prototypes undergoing road tests have been spotted, and the renderings based on these sightings are raising expectations. Recently, a more detailed rear-end design has been revealed, drawing the attention of prospective owners.
Spy shot-based rendering
Overall angular silhouette
New York Mammoth, a YouTube channel specializing in car renderings, released a rendering of the rear end of the Palisade full-change model on the 12th. He has created numerous renderings of the new Palisade before, but this time, he slightly changed his approach by overlaying the design directly on the spy shots. This method accurately reflects the proportion of the vehicle body and increases the accuracy of the location and shape of each part.
The car’s overall silhouette in the rendering is quite robust. It feels like a blend of the urban crossover trend in the North American SUV market and the concept of a traditional off-roader. Many comments that the overall design resembles the Land Rover Range Rover, with many similarities in the unique silhouette, tail lamp shape, and rear window angle. However, upon closer inspection, one can notice that the Palisade’s distinct design elements have been incorporated in various places.
Traces of the existing model
Muffler tip removed
The ‘G’-shaped tail lamp is considered a signature element of the existing model, and the aluminum-textured garnish lamp attached to the tail lamp has been retained. The internal graphics of the tail lamp are uniquely divided into two rows, with a total of 10 cells. The light source forming the lamp is likely to be a regular LED lamp rather than a pixel shape. The application of black garnish connecting the tail lamps is also expected.
However, only the model name lettering will be attached to this area and will not light up like a linear lamp. The rear bumper shares similarities with the Santa Fe. The black high-gloss garnish on the side skirts is connected to the bottom of the bumper, and sensors are applied to this area. The reflector, reverse light, and parking assist incorporate a pixel cube design. The muffler tip is expected to be hidden in a faucet shape that aligns with the eco-friendly trend.
Significant interior changes
Significant changes can be seen in the previously captured interior. A steering wheel similar to the Santa Fe’s and an authentic panoramic display has been applied. The column-type gear, lector, is actively used in Hyundai’s new cars and is also eye-catching. According to industry sources, the diesel engine will be removed from the powertrain configuration of this new car. A 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline turbo and a hybrid system based on it will be newly applied. The production timing is known to be January of next year.
