Toyota’s midsize sedan Camry is the best-selling vehicle, with approximately 300,000 units sold annually worldwide. It is famous for its high level of satisfaction among owners. The exciting news was delivered while many consumers waited for sales after the 9th generation was released in November 2023.
The sales price in the US was recently revealed, and it is said to be cheaper than before. It would be surprising if the price were frozen, but the case where it was lowered is considered unusual among redesigned vehicles.

The new Camry has four trims: LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. The starting price for each trim is $28,400 for LE, $37,700 for SE, $33,400 for XLE, and $34,600 for XSE. It may feel more expensive than the existing model, but one crucial change exists.
Unlike its predecessor, the new model only offers a hybrid powertrain. Therefore, compared to the price of the 8th generation Camry Hybrid, it is $300 to $460 cheaper, depending on the trim. The hybrid system applied this time has the same configuration of a 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline naturally aspirated engine coupled with an eCVT, but the electric motor has been significantly improved.

The new electric motor secures more powerful performance despite reduced volume and weight, producing a total system output of 228 horsepower. For this new model, the four-wheel drive system e-Four was added for the first time in Camry history. Unlike traditional four-wheel drive, where the drive shaft transmits power, an electric motor is added to only handle the rear axle. Thanks to this, both power transmission efficiency and spacious interior space can be achieved. The total system output of the four-wheel drive specification is 235 horsepower.
Advanced safety features are also abundant. Standard features include an upgraded forward collision avoidance system, lane center maintenance, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control in all trims. For XLE and XSE trims, advanced features such as traffic jam assistance to support driving in congested areas, intersection collision prevention, lane change assistance, around view, and an automatic parking system are standard.
The interior, a disappointing element of the existing model, has also been completely transformed. It looks much neater, with a dashboard that emphasizes horizontality. Depending on the trim, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel is installed, and the center display ranges from 8 to 12.3 inches. Vehicle control functions operated by voice recognition, wireless software updates, and digital key functions are also newly installed. The seat’s cushion shape and density have been changed, and the length of the seat has been extended, helping to improve riding comfort.
