Kia EV6, the first Kia electric vehicle based on the E-GMP platform, is approaching its facelift period. Its radical appearance, contrasting with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, created a buzz.
The high-performance version, EV6 GT, has been released, but what if an even more hardcore model comes out? Based on this electric vehicle, a unique virtual rendering has been produced, attracting the attention of netizens both domestically and internationally.
EV6 GT X Shooting Brake retains minimal original features
Automotive rendering specialist digital artist Zephyr Designz revealed an imagined EV6 GT X Shooting Brake on Instagram. As a virtual vehicle, it boldly retains only minimal original features of the EV6. The Pirelli P Zero tires were paired with large-diameter wheels inspired by the Lamborghini Huracan STO.
Originally a crossover, the car has been transformed into a coupe-like genre with the tires narrowly tucked under the fenders. The front splitter, side skirts, diffuser, and spoiler, which appear to be made of carbon fiber, have been added, and the tailgate, finished in black under the rear lights, emphasizes an aggressive atmosphere.
Side view cleaned up with three doors
‘EV6 R’ rendering also revealed
The vehicle has been transformed into a 3-door shooting brake by omitting the rear doors, which were five in total, including the tailgate. The passenger door is frameless, creating a clean DLO line. The deep side cut helps the airflow from the front bumper air duct through the front and rear wheelhouses to the rear bumper duct. The A-pillar, unlike the real EV6, is finished in the same color as the body, adding to the sense of unity of the body.
Meanwhile, the artist also unveiled a rendering that preserves the EV6’s body shape and changes only the rest. The EV6 R model doesn’t look as low as the previously introduced shooting brake, but it’s filled with more aggressive elements. The bonnet has three large scoops, and a rumor connects both air ducts in the front bumper.
No chance of release
The overfender turned up a notch, adding presence, and the vast spoiler seemed to press down on the body with a powerful downforce. The large-diameter wheels strongly remind us of the Lamborghini Huracan STO, just like the shooting brake version. Meanwhile, Kia plans to unveil the facelift models of the EV6 and EV6 GT in the second half of this year.
