Toyota minivan Sienna
Rendering for the New model also revealed
Bold changes attract attention
Toyota’s minivan Sienna is very popular as a family car. It is especially in high demand among fathers concerned about minivans’ low fuel efficiency because it has a hybrid powertrain. However, there has been no news of a new model since the launch of the 4th generation model in 2020, so many consumers are looking forward to it.
Considering that the release cycle of new models is not fast due to the nature of minivans, the facelift model can be expected to be launched in late 2025 or 2026. Although the release date is still some time away, many consumers are already showing keen interest in what the new design will offer.
Striking appearance even though it is a minivan
Similar changes to the Camry
Digimods DESIGN, a virtual artist active on social media, recently unveiled a rendering of the new Sienna, which is becoming a hot topic among netizens. However, as no test cars or design elements that could provide clues have been revealed, it appears to be a rendering richly reflecting the designer’s imagination.
The new Sienna features an aggressive design that is not typical of a minivan. This design appears to be a reference to the newly released new Camry. The designer expects the new Sienna to share a family look with other Toyota models, such as the Prius and Camry. Let’s take a look at Sienna’s cleaner look.
A horizontal thin grill is applied
Angular front line
In the case of the front of the current Sienna, a grille extending in a V shape and headlamps extending into a trapezoid were applied. In addition, changes were made to the thin horizontal grille in the new Camry and sleeker headlamps. The grille has changed to a more angular appearance along the lines of the front. The top of the headlamp curves sharply inward, creating an aggressive look.
The daytime running lights and turn signal lights turn on in an ㄱ shape along the line of the headlamp extending inward. A wide air intake with vertical emphasis was applied to the bottom side. Meanwhile, the front part has undergone significant changes, including a new lower grill with a honeycomb-type honeycomb pattern.
Thinner tail lamp
Sleeker Look
The rear part has not changed much compared to the front, but it has a cleaner look. In the case of existing tail lamps, a design separates from the side and falls to the bottom. The tail lamp has become thinner in the rendering, and a ㄷ shaped internal graphic is applied. The design of the tail lamp extending towards the rear quarter panel is the same, but it is used as a single form rather than being separated as before, becoming thinner towards the side.
The small trapezoidal engraving applied to the bottom of the tailgate was changed to be larger than before and now touches the tail lamp. A streamlined line extends from the bottom of the tailgate and connects with the side wheel arches. At the bottom, an angled muffler tip was added along with a diffuser to emphasize the sporty design.
