The prototype of Audi’s three-row large SUV Q7 full change model was revealed. Although the second facelift model of the second-generation Q7 was launched in Europe in the first quarter of 2024, Audi is quickly preparing to launch the full-change model in 2026.
Several prototype spy shots of the Audi Q7 were recently captured. Part of the interior was revealed for the first time, drawing attention. As it is a full-change model, it is expected that many changes will be made to the interior.
Curved Display Implemented, Display Mounted On Passenger Side
Unfortunately, most of the dashboard and center fascia were captured and covered with camouflage, making it difficult to see the details. However, a curved display can be seen along the wide dashboard. The driver’s seat has an integrated curved display that integrates a digital cluster and a center display.
What stands out is that a display was added to the passenger seat as well. The specifications have been further developed in that it is equipped with a large display that allows the passenger to enjoy various infotainments such as movies and social media. Audi had also equipped the passenger seat display in the Q6 e-tron. The new Q7 is expected to undergo similar changes.
Interior Likely Similar To The Q6 e-tron
The Audi Q6 e-tron features a layout that minimizes physical buttons as the large curved display fills the dashboard. On top of the simple layout of the spacious horizontal dashboard and two displays, the center fascia is equipped with a horizontal air duct and a few buttons to control essential functions.
The steering wheel has also been changed. It looks similar to the one installed in the Audi Q6 e-tron but with an added button. It appears that testing is being carried out by installing separate parts on the right side of the steering wheel. It seems likely that a new type of shift lever will be installed on the right side of the steering wheel.
Expected Launch To Be As Early As 2025
Various changes are expected in the exterior as well. Audi’s unique shield grille has been enlarged in size. A V-shaped pattern was applied to the grille, emphasizing a more robust appearance. The headlamp is partially hidden by the camouflage film but appears to have been applied in a sleek form. In the case of the lower bumper grille, a honeycomb-shaped pattern is applied, and it extends wide to the sides in a trapezoidal shape.
Meanwhile, the full-change model of the Q7 is expected to be a model based on the MLB Evo platform used in the new Porsche Cayenne. The powertrains are expected to respond to various consumer needs by applying electrification technologies such as gasoline engines, mild hybrids, and plug-in hybrids. The full change model of the Q7 is expected to be unveiled as early as the end of 2025.
